Wikipedia IRC help channel

This page allows you to log into the #wikipedia-en-help IRC channel: a help channel for new Wikipedians.

• To be able to use this client you will need Java installed on your system. If you are unsure about whether or not Java is installed, try to use the client.
• One or more security warnings may pop-up the first time this client is used, please set these to 'allow' or 'approve' in order to use the applet.
• You do not need any previous knowledge of IRC to use this client, as everything is fully automatic after you have chosen a username.

• Please note that this client also logs, and store a timestamp of when the client is used, the selected channel, as well as the selected username.
  This data is kept only for statistical purposes, and cannot be used to identify individual users or computers in any way.
