This is TS-Thumb, the friendly thumb-forwarder on the Toolserver; it works like the mediawiki thumb-forwarder, but does not stress the wikimedia-server in the same way (and it has more features).
TS-Thumb understands the following parameter:
File:, Image:, Bild:
or similar prefixes.commonwiki.commons.wikimedia.org), but it is better the use the dbname-parameter.maxthumb as the width, you will get a maximal width thumb. Only bitmaps (like jpgs or pngs) or drawings (like svgs) can be
thumbinise, all other file-types will be in normal width.width but it has no
maxthumb option. If you specify both width and heigh, the thumb will be box-fittingYou can use the follwing short-cuts: f for file, d for domain, w for
width and h for height, but using the full names if prefered. Only the parameters file and
dbname (or domainname as replacement) are compulsive, all others are optional. TS-Thumb needs an working
user-agent (if you have no idea what this is and you use a normal browser, don’t care; if you use a automatic tool (like a webcrawler or a
bot) you have to care) for work.
A example-url would be http://toolserver.org/tsthumb/tsthumb?file=Wiki-commons.png&dbname=commonswiki&width=30.
