This page shows the Picture of the Day from several Wikimedia projects, and offers it in a form that can easily be used to embed the images and information about them on other pages. When using images and other information provided here on a high traffic site, please cache them locally.

Caveat, August 27 2008: The format of the meta-datafiles (potd.meta.*) changed, it now uses the output of api.php, see there for details.

Disclaimer: This page is not run by the Wikimedia Foundation, it's just a personal toy project of Duesentrieb, sharing a single server with several other such wikimedia-related projects on the Wikimedia Toolserver, run by the Wikimedia Deutschland e.V.. It may be broken every now and then, and it even may be down for a few days sometimes, when the server undergoes maintenance.
