==  History  ==

The club's history dates back to 1952 when the club was founded in the city of , [[Mexico]] and join  the [[Segunda División Profesional]]. At in 1953-54 the club finished runner-up, but due to the increase of clubs in the [[Primera División de México]], the federation organized a promotional playoff series with Cuautla, two another teams from the [[Segunda División Profesional]], [[Club Deportivo Zamora|Zamora]] and [[Querétaro FC|Querétaro]], and the last two teams in the [[Primera División de México]], [[Atlante]] and [[Club Deportivo Marte|Marte]]. At the end, Cuautla was promoted, [[Club Deportivo Marte|Marte]] was relegated, [[Querétaro FC|Querétaro]] remained int the [[Segunda División Profesional]], and [[Atlante F.C.]] remained in the top division.

The club played 4 years in the First division till its relegation in 1958-59 season.

The club has never returned to the First division but came close on two occasions. One in 1971-72, the other in 1978-79, both times losing to [[F.C. Atlas|Atlas]] in a promotion match.
