The WikiMedia Player uses Java if no better playback method is available. You can obtain Java from Sun Microsystems.
Alternatively, you can download and play the media directly. This requires codecs to play Ogg-format media. There are directions to install these codecs at our Media Help page.
The source code for the Java player is publicly available. If you experience difficulties with this player, please report them to Greg Maxwell.
