Currently I'm focussing on developing a bot framework in PHP called Wikitastical, its aim is to provide a intuitive and extensible interface for editing and querying MediaWiki and connecting to IRC (the latest code is in my subversion repository, linked below, please note it is not in an externally usable state and highly subject to change). A MediaWiki extension repository is also in its early stages of development.
